Job Summary:
The Outlet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outlet, implementing sales strategies to enhance and meet sales, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals, and managing outlet staff effectively.

Duty Station: Nyahuka, Bundibugyo, Uganda

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to outlet staff.
  • Process customer orders and payments using the outlet’s Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash register functions and transactions including sales, correct pricing, and receipting to customers.
  • Drive customer service excellence in every aspect of the outlet.
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience at all times, ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of fish products, including new lines and offers, and share that knowledge with customers and other colleagues.
  • Responsible for all banking functions related to the outlet including making bank deposits and accountability.
  • Supervise and motivate the outlet team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
  • Contribute business strategies to attract new customers, expand outlet traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, housekeeping, and food safety management systems.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of all outlet operations.
  • Perform quality assurance of fish on a regular basis and ensure proper handling, storage, processing, and packing.
  • Ensure customer complaints are followed up and satisfactory solutions are obtained.
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication with customers.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained and place new orders in a timely manner, in liaison with the Supervisor.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority throughout all operations in the outlet.
  • Ensure compliance standards with statutory regulations and government policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a retail/bulk trade environment.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and competence in MS Office.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Must be willing and able to meet tight deadlines and work long hours when required.
  • Be able to work in a multicultural environment.
