Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain equipment in an “as new” condition, ensuring reliable performance to standard. This involves inspections, corrective actions to restore equipment, problem-solving to address root causes of failures, and providing input into the ZBB maintenance budget. Additionally, you will coach operators on the correct operation of equipment and perform autonomous operations. Your focus will typically be on quality impact machines such as bottle washers, fillers, and labellers, ensuring quality checks are conducted and deviations from standards are addressed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

  • Provide specialist support to shift-based teams during operations.
  • Assist as a functional expert in problem-solving.
  • Offer guidance and advice to shift-based teams on mechanical equipment and fault-finding.

Planned Maintenance:

  • Contribute to maintenance planning meetings, suggesting ideas and clarifying required work.
  • Carry out work during planned maintenance windows as per the schedule issued by the planner.
  • Participate in maintenance postmortems to provide feedback and insights.

Routine Maintenance:

  • Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and inspection as per the maintenance schedule.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities according to schedules.
  • Resolve problems uncovered during routine maintenance using appropriate techniques.

Running Repairs:

  • Assist in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment.
  • Assess problems, determine courses of action, and complete necessary administrative tasks.

Problem Solving:

  • Apply correct problem-solving approaches to resolve issues during routine activities.
  • Call in additional resources or escalate to the Maintenance Controller when necessary.

Improvement:

  • Enhance Standard Work Instructions (SWI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in ABRs (After Action Reviews) as needed.

Housekeeping and Safety:

  • Operate in a safe manner, identifying and reporting unsafe practices.
  • Adhere to work instructions, AB InBev policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and apply 5S principles during duties.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a packaging bottling production environment.
  • 1-3 years of technical mechanical/electrical and bottling experience in an FMCG environment.
