Job Description:
As a Reconciliation Intern – Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience in financial reconciliation processes while supporting the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and fostering positive relationships with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing regular reconciliations of financial transactions between ChapChap Africa and its partners.
  • Support senior accountants in comparing records, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues under supervision.
  • Enter financial data into reconciliation systems and spreadsheets.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or irregularities.
  • Assist in communicating with internal departments and external partners regarding reconciliation matters.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of reconciliation processes, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Learn about accounting principles, financial statements, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals.
