We are at a turning point for women, where advances in women’s rights are at threat from rising fundamentalisms, financial crises, political turmoil and backlash against feminism. Very important gains have been made in many frameworks, policies and laws that protect the rights of women, yet, the power dynamics that drive inequality between women and men remain in force at all levels.

We exist to strengthen pathways between young and older women who aspire to meaningfully contribute to the greater women’s movement in Uganda.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Project Officer will support the Chief Builder work to run programs in a Fast-paced and quickly evolving sector. The work will include to;
- Support the expansion of program offerings and enhance the quality of existing programs.
- Advise and implement strategies for the program team.
- Further support an understanding on how different projects interlink and overlap.
- Develop strategic communications to increase awareness of the organisation’s work.
- Prepare budgets and reporting on fund allocation.
- Participate in the contract and grant application process including design, submission and review.
- Advise on investment decisions, activities and provide strategies to follow.
- Coordinate and run events and workshops.
- Curate feedback and present insights.
- Identify opportunities for continual improvement.
- Developing sector partnerships and relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Good writing and strategic communications skills.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Experience working with social media platforms such as Twitter and Instragram.
- An understanding of feminism.
- Prolific organizing
