Job Title: Legal Assistant – Tax Department

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining company documents, including annual reports, meeting minutes, resolutions, and other related documents.
  • Coordinate and manage corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of corporate entities, ensuring all filings are completed on time and accurately.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to corporate matters.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure smooth execution of company secretarial tasks.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to gather and organize documents, evidence, and information for TAT litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research to support the preparation of legal arguments and strategies for TAT hearings.
  • Assist in preparing legal submissions, affidavits, and other court documents.
  • Coordinate communication between the legal team, clients, and external parties involved in TAT cases.
  • Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and readily accessible.
  • Provide administrative support to the Tax Department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist in maintaining the department’s database and filing system.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the department’s activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and corporate information.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. Completed Post Graduate Diploma (LDC).
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably with exposure to tax-related matters.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures and company secretarial practices.
