Job Title: Maintenance Clerk
Organization: Q-Sourcing Uganda
Job Location: Kampala
Roles and responsibilities:
- Ensure correct system usage by team – auditing and coaching
- Publish standard reports
- Locate plant equipment spares and raise necessary work order or any other documentation to authorize spare issuance
- Identify problem or potential problems as raised from PM orders
- Administer a gap list for tracking any issues affecting the department
- Capture data, analyze and generate asset care reports
- Analyze the equipment data to identify failure causes and dominant failure modes
- Identify the maintenance tasks
- Optimize schedules
- Analyze spare parts inventory requirements and continuously improve inventory control
- Compile and share periodic reports (daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ annually) to ensure the maintenance manager has up to date information for decision making.
- Identify the required follow-on work and raise the relevant sub work orders
- Analyze and screen corrective maintenance (CM) job cards and burning maintenance issues for opportunities to perform root cause failure analysis to prevent future failures
- Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with slight hands-on in data capturing in the related maintenance field.
- Ability to use basic problem-solving tools (5why, Ishikawa) and interpret information from them.
