Job Title: Research Intern

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting in designing and implementing surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions to collect data.
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to collect relevant information.
  • Participate in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data using statistical tools or qualitative analysis methods.
  • Summarize findings and contribute to report writing and presentations.
  • Assist in planning and executing the Green Jobs/Youth Research Academy components.
  • Conduct community sensitization programs on Green Jobs.
  • Train volunteers in safety, risk assessment, and management.
  • Assist in addressing capacity gaps on Green Jobs in the Kampala, Nakasongola, and Jinja regions.
  • Aid in training preparations for volunteers.
  • Develop activity and monthly reports.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant field such as Development Studies, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and across diverse stakeholders
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Previous experience in community-based programs, especially in the areas of environmental sustainability or youth development
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation and dissemination of research findings.
