JOB DETAILS:
Kyenjojo District Local Government is seeking applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant position of Senior Treasurer. This is a full-time role based in Kyenjojo, East Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial resources of the district in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and implementation of the district’s annual budget.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Supervise treasury staff and provide guidance on financial matters.
- Monitor revenue collection and expenditure to ensure fiscal discipline.
- Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the relevant authority.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- No specific educational or work experience requirements specified.
- Applicants should be Ugandan citizens.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
