JOB DETAILS:
Applications are invited from suitable qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant post of Principal Commercial Officer in Bushenyi District Local Government.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to promote and enhance revenue generation for the district.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Oversee the management of commercial activities and operations within the district.
- Provide guidance and support to commercial staff and departments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for management.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve overall organizational goals.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the relevant authority.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- At least five years of relevant work experience in commercial management or related field.
- Knowledge of commercial principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office.
