About the Project:
The “Building Resilient Communities, Wetland Ecosystems and Associated Catchments” Project, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), Government of Uganda, and UNDP, aims to restore wetlands in Eastern and Southwestern Uganda.

Objective/Purpose Of The Assignment:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will oversee all M&E activities for the GCF project and the NCER portfolio, providing support in data management, monitoring, and reporting.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of project-level M&E plans and associated work plans.
  • Develop TORs for M&E tasks and source data for specific M&E needs.
  • Support technical work, including reviewing M&E methods and carrying out trainings.
  • Design data collection and analysis tools and conduct regular surveys.
  • Ensure quality control of M&E outputs and contribute to the design and implementation of monitoring methodology.
  • Collaborate with communication Analyst in designing case studies and success stories.
  • Provide M&E inputs for project-level reports and corporate reporting platforms.
  • Maintain an M&E database and provide training to project teams.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation missions and review system/mechanism procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced University Degree in data science, monitoring and evaluation, or relevant social science.
  • Minimum 2 years (with a master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of working experience in M&E or related field.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft packages, experience in designing and managing performance monitoring plans.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
