The Civil Society  Budget Advocacy Group (CSBAG) in Uganda is currently hiring for five full-time positions. Here’s a summary of the vacant positions and their responsibilities:

  1. Economist:
    • Conduct economic analysis and research on budgetary policies and socio-economic issues.
    • Provide leadership in fiscal policy development and evaluation.
    • Mentor and support a team of economists and analysts.
    • Engage with stakeholders to promote dialogue on economic policy issues.
  2. Program Associate:
    • Conduct research on budgetary policies and socio-economic issues.
    • Develop policy briefs and engage in advocacy efforts.
    • Provide technical assistance and capacity building support.
    • Foster collaboration with government agencies and international organizations.
  3. Data Analyst:
    • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources.
    • Visualize data using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
    • Support policy research and advocacy efforts with data-driven insights.
    • Offer training on data collection methods and analysis techniques.
  4. Communications Specialist:
    • Develop communication strategies to reach stakeholders.
    • Create content for various channels including website, social media, and press releases.
    • Cultivate relationships with media outlets and influencers.
    • Monitor and evaluate communication activities.
  5. Finance Officer:
    • Oversee financial operations and budgeting.
    • Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
    • Provide financial management training and support.
