Roles and responsibilities:
- Inspect, record and report all incoming raw and packaging materials
- Assist team leaders in online trials, supplier Audit and approvals
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager & QA supervisor in provision of leadership and strategy in line with company strategic objectives.
- In collaboration with stakeholders, draft and approve integrated management system policies and procedures under QA supervisor
- Help QA supervisor in Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards
- Evaluate adequacy of quality and food safety standards under QA supervisor supervision
- Implementation of integrated management system by covering QMS and FSMS standards
- Plan, Develop and execution of internal training program for the department in collaboration with QA supervisor
- Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor to review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
- Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues
- Assist QA supervisor to collect and compile statistical quality data; analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality assurance system
- Assist QA supervisor to prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality assurance activities
- Support on-site audits conducted by external/third party auditors, evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Assist QA supervisor/HSE officer to ensure compliance with occupational health safety and environment regulatory requirements
- Assist QA supervisor for managing and maintaining data bases and documents for all management systems, including quality and food safety management systems
- Report the status of the quality levels of staff, systems and production activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Chemical Engineering, bio-chemical, biotechnology, science technology-biology or chemistry or any relevant field for a food industry.
- One year of experience in a food industry.
- Well versed in ISO implementation.
- Relevant Experience in material inspection is preferred
- Should be aware of relevant local and international standards related to products and services.
- Should be trained on HACCP, GMP, GHP practices etc.
- Should be trained on quality and food safety Management Systems
