The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Management Assistant (CDC). This role involves overseeing day-to-day administrative functions and logistical coordination in support of the Centers for Disease Control Uganda country office. If you have experience in office administration, a keen eye for detail, and are proficient in managing various administrative tasks, we encourage you to apply.

Job Details:

  • Position: Administrative Management Assistant (CDC)
  • Opening Period: 03/26/2024 – 04/08/2024
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Start Date: Candidate must be able to start within a reasonable period
  • Supervisory Position: No

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate office management, including transcription of meeting minutes, correspondence preparation, and document management.
  • Handle travel arrangements, procurement processing, maintenance requests, and time and attendance.
  • Manage motor pool arrangements and other assigned administrative duties.

Qualifications and Evaluations:

  • Education: Completion of two-year College or University Studies
  • Experience: Two years of office administration or secretarial experience required
  • Language: English Level IV (Fluent) and Luganda Level 3 (Good working knowledge) required
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong typing and computer skills
  • Other: All applicants must pass medical and security certifications
