Your Mission: Your mission will be to lead the implementation of a new initiative under our Female Founders Growth Program. SHONA is planning to launch a new initiative under our Female Founders Growth Program, focusing on identifying and supporting female-driven businesses in WASH, climate-smart food production, agriculture, climate change, nutrition, digitalisation, or skills development sectors in Uganda and Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design of the initiative
  • Lead the implementation of the initiative
  • Lead the Monitoring and Evaluation of the initiative

Program Design:

  • Curriculum design and tool creation
  • Workplan development and updating
  • Documenting and reviewing program systems and processes
  • Budget review and management

Program Implementation:

  • Entrepreneur/Business Recruitment
  • Procurement and budget management
  • Business diagnostics
  • Program logistics coordination
  • Development of program materials and concept notes
  • Stakeholder communications
  • Account management and entrepreneur engagement
  • Planning workshops and webinars

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Data collection, analysis, and report writing
  • Entrepreneur database maintenance
  • Collecting impact stories
  • Supporting SHONA’s overall efforts as needed

Person Specification: Education/Work Experience:

  • Masters in Business Administration or related fields
  • 3+ years working with SMEs in Agriculture (an advantage)
  • 5+ years Project Management experience, preferably with Institutional Donors or Development Finance Institutions

Desirable:

  • Certificate in International Project Management
  • Experience working with Institutional Donors or Development Finance Institutions in SME development
