Uganda Youth Sounding Board Membership
About the Uganda Youth Sounding Board:
The Uganda Youth Sounding Board (UYSB) is a platform established by the Embassy of Denmark in Uganda to actively engage young people in relevant policy and program activities. This initiative aims to provide a space for young voices, ideas, and reflections to be heard and considered in the Embassy’s work and supported activities, including development cooperation. The UYSB also serves to create awareness, spark discussions, and promote constructive exchanges on relevant topics.

Membership Details:
- Composition: 15 young people engaged with Denmark-supported initiatives or actively involved in youth representation.
- Term: Membership rotates every 3 years.
- Responsibilities: Attend biannual meetings (or as called by the Embassy), participate in engagements, and contribute ideas.
- Benefits: Voluntary and unpaid; travel costs, per diems, and related expenses covered.
- Chair and Vice Chair: Selected by fellow youth representatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age between 15-27 years.
- Proficiency in both local language and English.
- Commitment to attend biannual meetings.
- Demonstrated community involvement and passion for development.
Application Process:
- Application Form: Fill out the enclosed application form in English.
- Supporting Documents: Prepare a motivated letter and any additional relevant documents.
- Submission: Combine all documents into one PDF file.
- Email: Send the PDF with subject ‘UYSB – First Name – Last Name’ to kmtamb@um.dk.
Deadline:
Applications must be submitted no later than April 19th, 2024.
