Job Summary

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Assistant’s main role is to provide MSU with efficient and effective documents& supplies drop offs, and clinical supplies, and warehouse management

Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery:
• Deliver orders and invoices to suppliers/service providers including drug suppliers within Kampala.
• Manage workload to ensure minimal trips per day.
• Deliver both Medical and non medical supplies to MSU offices / centres around Kampala
2. Warehousing:
• The warehouse Assistant will keep stored items secure, as well as keeping the inside and outside of the warehouse clean.
• Shall update stock cards and related stock records whenever he picks items from the warehouse to ensure stock balances tally.
3. Commodity Supplies Management:
• Liaise with the procurement and Logistics team to pick commodities from JMS,NMS,UHMG among others to ensure that orders are fulfilled within a reasonable time of order and check completeness of records
4. Record keeping and reporting:

Qualifications

The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting the smooth ninning of the daily activities of War Child Canada’s Legal Aid Clinic, including client management and follow up, facilitation of alternative dispute resolution and to contribute to legal awareness raising activities and legal trainings.
Required qualification, knowledge and skills:

  • The candidate must have a Diploma in Law (Degree in Law is an added advantage)

  • Fluency in local languages and an excellent working knowledge of spoken and written English

Job Summary

The NOA Assistant Nutrition Officer supports UNHCR contribution towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and ensures that UNHCR and international nutrition minimum standards are met to minimise avoidable mortality and morbidity among populations of concern. Responsibilities

  • Represent UNHCR in nutrition -related fora at country level.
  • Collect, update and disseminate nutrition-related data, information and tools to relevant partners.
  • Organise/participate in nutrition-related participative need assessment and planning process during emergency situations as well as in care and maintenance and repatriation/reintegration programmes.
  • Participate in review and analysis of relevant project proposals and budgetary submissions presented by UNHCR partners within context of UNHCR programme cycle.
  • Make sure that nutrition-related activities are effectively implemented according to sub agreements with relevant IPs. Participate in various nutrition-related surveys and evaluations.
  • Participate in elaboration and dissemination of nutrition-related database and contingency plans for potential epidemics, refugee IDPs and returnee movements.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual nutrition-related report for UNHCR (following the current health, HIV and nutrition information system).
  • Organise nutrition-related meetings and field visits with partners on a regular basis.
  • Identify training needs for IPs and persons of concern to UNHCR and plan for required trainings.

Accountability and Authority

  • Assistance is provided to UNHCR officer in establishing partnerships with government ministries, NGOs, other UN agencies and donors and coordinate planning a response to refugee-related environmental damages in the country.

  • Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle, should possess a riding permit and / or process one within a period not exceeding three months of probation.
  • The applicants should be willing to work in any part of the country.
  • All candidates should be ready to challenge themselves to continuously deliver exceptional performance.
  • Highly computer literate, highly motivated, innovative and a self-starter.
  • Possess excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess leadership skills.
  • The applicants must also be honest, trustworthy and have a high degree of integrity.
  • The candidates should be fluent in commonly used local languages.
  • Age: Less than 30 years of age.
